Industrie Ilpea, a leader in the production of rubber and plastic profiles for the automotive and appliance sectors, has its most important raw-material production centre in Malgesso. Multi Data has looked after its automation since the late 1990s.
The challenge
More than 25 years after the first plant built by Multi Data, modernise the PVC line’s automation and integrate the new turbo mixers purchased by the customer, without replacing a still-productive plant:
- Rebuild of the first plant’s automation, now dated (late 1990s).
- New turbo mixers (from a leading brand) to integrate and control.
- Need for a single interface for dosing, the mixing cycle and the granulation extruder.
- Connection to the factory ERP and production downtime to be contained.

Multi Data’s work
- Installation of the new MultiStore software, with direct control of the new turbo mixers’ cycle (from a leading brand) purchased by the customer and managed by the Multi Data CPU.
- CPU replacement.
- Rebuild of the panel managing the oils feeding one of the mixers.
- Integration into a single interface of dosing, the mixing cycle and supervision of the granulation extruder.
- Connection of MultiStore to the factory ERP.
The result
- Revamping completed with a 3-week plant shutdown.
- A single interface for dosing, mixing and granulation extrusion: improved processing.
- Production integrated with the factory ERP.
- A plant built over 25 years ago, renewed on the automation side: proof of the durability and continuity of the partnership.
